Getting their name from the break-up of a previous full
band and going to a pure acoustic or "unplugged" sound was the beginning of the acoustic duo dis-connected.
Michelle and Donna are based out of the New Haven area and have performed together for the past 17 years.
Their repertoire encompasses a large array of music from folk to rock, from
the early 70's to the present, putting their own little spin on some old favorites.
Michelle sweetens the music with her pretty gentle voice and gorgeous 12-string
guitar, while Donna brings a strong melodic voice and a great 6-string rhythm to the music. Along with their voices
and guitars, they add a little bit of bass, harmonica, tambourine and percussion to the mix.
Michelle and Donna successfully blend their distinct talents together to
acquire a sweet sound they call dis-connected.
